Afghani Pendant & Silver Turkoman Beads
Finished length: 30" + 4" pendant

Long Pendant Statement Necklace

A beautiful old silver and carnelian pendant, approximately 130 – 150 years old, stars on a long strand of exquisite antique silver Turkoman drum beads, small antique Afghanistan silver beads, African trade metal beads, and small Berber spacer beads.

The patina of the old silver is sublime and one of the reasons antique ethnic jewelry is so desirable and collectible.

I found this pendant in Marrakech, Morocco and I believe it is Afghani in origin. It is beautifully detailed with scrolls and floral decorations with a carnelian cabochon in the center.

Small 22k gold-plated spacers sprinkled throughout provide just a hint of golden luster.  Sterling silver clasp.

    Finished length: 30” plus a 4” pendant.

Sure to be a conversation starter, you can wear this long pendant necklace with both day and evening looks.

This design is one of a kind, and as it evokes an air of mystery and subtle power I've named it "Nowa" who was an African shaman goddess.
